Long delays were caused this morning following a four-vehicle crash on a County Durham road.
Durham Police have confirmed they were alerted to the collision on the A1(M) southbound in Carville at around 7:40am.
They also confirmed four vehicles were involved in the incident which caused long delays on the road this morning.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Police were alerted to a collision which happened on the A1(M) southbound just after junction 62, Carville, this morning.
“Four vehicles were involved in the collision, which happened shortly before 7.40am.

“Thankfully, nobody was injured.”
AA traffic maps reported there were severe delays on the A1(M) Southbound between junction 63 A167 in Chester-le-Street and Junction 61 A688 Tursdale Road in Bowburn due to the incident.
The incident has now been cleared according to AA’s road maps.
