A police officer who allegedly exposed his genitals in a public house is facing a misconduct hearing.
PC Daniel Burke from Northumbria Police is due to attend the Old Magistrates Court at Houghton Police Station on Dairy Lane in Houghton-le-Spring on Wednesday, March 27.
It is alleged that in November 2022, while standing adjacent to the pool table, PC Burke publicly exposed himself on several occasions.

He could be sacked for gross misconduct if he is found guilty.
A statement on the force website said: “It is alleged that the PC Burke breached the following Standards of Professional Behaviour as set out in Schedule 2 of Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020: discreditable conduct and authority, respect and courtesy.
“The matter set out above, if proven, is said to amount to gross misconduct in that it is so serious as to justify dismissal.”
