Police have launched an investigation after a man suffered stab wounds to his body and legs in the street on Monday (March 18) evening.
Officers from Cleveland Police attended an incident on Wicklow Street in Middlesbrough, at around 8.50pm, following reports of a stabbing.
After arriving on the scene, officers found an injured man, who had sustained stab wounds to his body and legs which were not life-threatening.
He was taken to hospital, where he remains at this time.

Following the incident, the police force has launched an investigation and is appealing for witnesses to the incident to get in touch.
A man and a woman were arrested at the scene but were released soon after when it was established that they were not involved.
