Durham Constabulary have confirmed that two men have been arrested following an attempted burglary after car crashes into JD sports entrance at the Arnison Centre, in County Durham.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident, with one man arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, and possession of a class C drug.
Images surfaced online this morning (Monday, March 18) of a car, which appeared to have broken out through the JD Sports store entrance, as police erected a cordon around the area.
Late last night Durham Police received a report of a car being driven into the front of the JD store premises at around 11.15pm (Sunday, March 17), which had caused significant damage to the Arnison Centre sports shop.

A spokesperson from Durham Constabulary has said: “Response officers arrived at the scene within minutes and arrested two men.
“A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, and possession of a class C drug.
“A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
“Both men remain in custody while further enquiries are carried out.”
