A double murder probe has been launched after the bodies of two men were found at an address in Hartlepool.
Police were called to Eaglesfield Road just before midnight on Friday (March 15) night where they discovered two deceased males.
Detectives launched a murder inquiry and a woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
She has since been bailed pending further investigations.
The identities of the two men are not yet known, but Cleveland Police said family members of both have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Uniformed patrols are being carried out in the area and residents are being told to expect an increase in police presence over the coming days.
A force spokesperson said: “Police were called to a property on Eaglesfield Road in Hartlepool around 11.40pm on Friday 15th March, where sadly the bodies of two males were located.
“Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

“Family members of the men have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
“Our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.”
