Hundreds of families flocked to Darlington on Saturday (March 16) to see their favourite superheroes around the town take part in 'Superhero Saturday'.

Numerous activities took place around Darlington, as people dressed in superhero costumes and entertained people in the streets, including the Market Place and High Row.

Families were seen grabbing photos with the Hulk, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Spiderman. 

Meanwhile, there were plenty of activities to choose from for children, which included Creation Station craft activities in the Market Hall, Glitter face painters on Grange Road, as well as a silent disco.

For the silent disco, the fun continued through the streets of Darlington, which saw people with their headphones dancing through High Row and Post House Wynd.

For the adults, there were crafts with Yvonne Preston in Queen Street Shopping Centre.

Throughout the day, there were 'meet and greets' with the superheroes, which saw different superheroes at various locations, including Queen Street Shopping Centre, Post House Wynd, Dolphin Centre, Bainbridge House, and the Cornmill Shopping Centre
