A cosy and inviting Café/Restaurant adjacent to a wonderful farm shop, situated on a working farm along a private drive. Beautiful courtyard exterior with external dining in pleasant weather.
This farm shop and café is one of the best out there - with many people raving online about how great it is.
And the reviews on TripAdvisor suggest that is correct.Â
Praising Knitsley Farm Shop and Granary Café online, one person said: "Friendly atmosphere and good food. We had been given a voucher and wanted to try it out. We haven’t been here since Covid but glad to find that standard is the same and staff are very friendly."
Meanwhile, another person added: "Delicious! Great breakfast again! I visit this place regularly and it never disappoints. I have had Breakfast and Lunch here."
Broom House Farm

Broom House Farm Coffee Shop is a small café next to an award-winning Farm Shop that specialises in producing the finest beef, pork and lamb from this organic farm.
The Coffee Shop makes use of the farm's produce throughout its menu - from traditional breakfasts to modern brunches, soups, sandwiches, burgers, salads and snacks.
This farm shop scores highly in the rankings, with a 4.5/5 star rating on TripAdvisor.Â
People have been posting some lovely comments on TripAdvisor, with one person saying: "We visit Broom House farm semi-regularly with our young kids and it is one of our favourite places to visit The staff in the café are so lovely and welcoming."
Meanwhile, another person added: "We go mainly for the shop and butchers, although the breakfasts in the coffee shop are wonderful too! The butchers are very friendly and knowledgeable (with some interesting stories to tell if they’re not too busy and you have a few minutes!)"

More than just a farm shop, field and Fodder operates as a café on Mondays and Tuesdays and a fully licenced bar all day Saturday.
Like the two on the list before, there are plenty of great reviews for Field and Fodder, with one person saying: "Such an amazing selection of fresh ingredients. You can tell so much thought and passion goes into each dish! My new favourite place for brunch. The grazing platters look delicious, I can’t wait to try one of those!"
Bradley Burn Farm Café

Bradley Burn Farm Cafe is open throughout the year. Housed in a beautiful log cabin, tables on the terrace overlook the burn flowing past. Enjoy home-cooked fayre beside the wood stove while the kids explore the enclosed play area just outside.

This place is perfect for summer - but can accommodate people through any time of year.Â
One person said: "While we stayed at Otter Cottage, we fancied a coffee and cake so called into the café (as it is literally a minute walk away). I and partner both opted for coffee and scones. Delicious. There was an antique shop in the café too and it had some great items."
Ulnaby Farm Shop & Café

Another location close to Darlington - the review of this place is as good as any on the list - with people complimenting the food and the shop.Â
On TripAdvisor, one person said: "Ulnaby is a great place for a breakfast or a lunch the staff are friendly and the food is very good highly recommend the beef stew and all that and an amazing farm shop."
