A popular car boot sale which organisers say may be one of the largest in the country is set to return this month - here's all the details.

Seaham's car boot sale is set to make a triumphant return on March 23 and 24 depending on weather.

Sellers from across the region are set to gather once again in the fields off the B1287 every weekend for the car boot season eager to sell their wares to bargain hunters.

Here is everything you need to know.

What time does it start?

Sellers seeking early entry can get access to the site from 10-10:30am to nab a specific space. However, other sellers can still pay to enter from 11am too.

Public admission for buyers also begins from 10am. The sale ends at 2:30pm.

How much is it?

For sellers seeking early entry from 10-11:30am, here's what you have to pay:

  • Cars: £17
  • Vans £21
  • Trailers: From £3

From 11am:

  • Cars: £12
  • Vans: £16
  • Trailers: From £3

Sellers will not be admitted after 12pm.

The public will have to fork out £5 per person to get in and shop until 11:30am, but they can pay just £1 if they wait until after midday.

Where can I park?

The closest car park to the site is Seaham Hall's beach car park, just a few minutes walk away from the car boot.

However, there is roadside parking available further down the seafront on North Road.

Will food be on sale?

No - Nobles Promotions have confirmed on their site that no food or drink is allowed to be sold at the event due to a lack of space.

All traders must also remain at the sale until it ends in case of "adverse weather".

Seaham's car boot event is not the only one organised by Noble's Promotions in the North East.

Chester-le-Street's car boot opening date is yet to be confirmed.

However, Morpeth's event at Tranwell Airfield will also kick off on March 23.
