A motorcyclist is fighting for his life after a single-vehicle early morning crash.
Emergency services were called to Stainsacre Lane in Whitby at about 5am on Wednesday, March 6, following reports of a serious collision on the stretch of road.
Following the incident, North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the serious collision.
The exact location of the collision was where the road meets the new roundabout leading to the Abbey View housing development.

The rider of the blue Suzuki motorcycle, a man aged in his 60s from Pickering, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He remains in a critical condition.
