A new pasta restaurant will soon be coming to Darlington after the owners of a successful business in County Durham announced it would be bringing its dishes to the town.
Street Pasta, which started up as a street food Tuk Tuk back in 2016, has gone from strength to strength and has built up its name to success on Newgate Street in Bishop Auckland.
After first setting up the Bishop Auckland store in 2021, for the last three years, it has served up a range of pasta, burgers, desserts, chicken and drinks.
Now that it has built up its brand, Street Pasta announced at the end of February that it would be bringing that same success to open in Darlington, by moving on to Duke Street.
Under the ownership of Adam Fenwick, the restaurant has opened up about its plans online, which has expressed how it has battled the challenges of low footfall in Bishop Auckland, and its excitement of opening in Darlington.
Alongside the post, Mr Fenwick has also announced that he has brought in a new business partner, Mark Grey, for the Darlington shop.
In an online post, Street Pasta said: "I would like to welcome on board my new business partner for the Darlington shop Mark Grey, this has enabled us to grow even further, with someone who shares the same passion as me and sees the potential for the brand to grow!
From starting with one street food tuk-tuk in 2016 to now having three street food outlets and two takeout shops in 2024 I never would have thought it.

"Since setting up the first street pasta in Bishop Auckland in 2021 I honestly didn’t know how it was going to go, especially with hardly any footfall on the high street but the support has been unbelievable, so thank you, Bishop.
"To now set the second one up in our hometown is very exciting for us, hopefully, we can get similar support."
While there are no firm plans in terms of opening dates as of yet, Street Pasta has asked people to stay tuned on its social media channel here.
