A road in Stockton has been reopened by police after a serious car crash late last night.
Yarm Road was closed around 1.30am early this morning (Sunday, March 3), between Witham Avenue and Station Road, Eaglescliffe. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and to find different routes where possible.
The incident, reported to be a single-car collision, saw emergency services including police and ambulance swarm the residential street.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Yarm Road, which was closed between Witham Avenue and Station Road at Eaglescliffe, has now reopened.
"We'd like to thank the motorists and residents affected by the closure for their co-operation and understanding while collision investigation work took place."
The car collided with a wall and fence outside a residential property at the intersection of Yarm Road and Ashville Avenue.

During their investigation, officers were seen collecting debris and putting it into evidence bags.
The fire brigade and ambulance service have been contacted for more information.
