A man has been hospitalised after he was found in the street with stab wounds.
The incident happened in the Noble Street area of Easington Colliery, shortly after 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, February 28) afternoon.
A 40-year-old man had sustained stab wounds and was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Three men have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.

Now, police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with injuries in the street.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers are treating this as an isolated incident and would like to reassure the public there is no risk to the wider community.
"Anyone with any information is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident reference 280 of February 28."
