The most dangerous areas of Darlington have been revealed, based on crime data from 2022 to 2023.
Central Darlington is the most dangerous area in the town as they have the most crimes with 2,927 recorded.
Across the town, the most common crimes in Darlington are violence and sexual offences, with 4,736 offences.
But in the grand scheme of things, Darlington is the safest place in the North East of England with 12,394 cases reported last year.
However, County Durham as a whole is the most dangerous local authority with 55,014 cases.
Hummersknott residents can rest assured that they are living in the safest district - with fewer than 300 crimes recorded over the period.
Around the UK, crime continues to rise, with a nationwide increase of four per cent in 2023.
Research into crime data by Online Marketing Surgery and West Midlands Garage Doors revealed the most dangerous Darlington neighbourhoods and the total recorded crimes.

- Bank Top - 928 recorded crimes.
- Rise Carr - 921 recorded crimes.
- Cockerton & Hopetown - 731 recorded crimes.
- Firthmoor - 494 recorded crimes.
- Harrowgate Hill - 388 recorded crimes.
- Haughton Le Skerne - 373 recorded crimes.
- Pierremont - 363 recorded crimes.
- College & Park West - 295 recorded crimes.
- Whinfield - 281 recorded crimes.
- Hummersknott - 262 recorded crimes.
