A new flagship charity shop will open in County Durham on Friday (February 23) after months of preparation for the store.
The Butterwick Hospice will hold its grand opening, as it moves into unit 6 of Bishop Auckland Retail Park at 10am.
The store, which will open seven days a week, will sell items to aid donations to the charity, which operates across the North East.
For 40 years, Butterwick Hospice has supported local people and communities across our regions of Teesside and County Durham, providing holistic care for babies, children and adults living with a life-limiting illness, as well as support for their families and loved ones.

Already, the charity has shops in Stockton, Middlesbrough, Barnard Castle and Darlington, among others - with this new store in Bishop Auckland noted as their 'flagship store'.
Alongside offering items for sale, furniture donations will be available to the Bishop Auckland store and house removals are also available, according to the charity, but contact has to be made directly with The Butterwick Hospice.
Posting online about the new shop, the charity said: "Not sure what to do this weekend? Why not pay a visit to our brand new flagship store? You'll find us at Unit 6, Bishop Auckland Retail Park, DL14 9TT. Join us for the grand opening at 10am on the February 23!"
