Former football manager Harry Redknapp enjoyed his first-ever parmo when he visited Middlesbrough last night (Wednesday, February 21) to regale delighted fans.
Harry, who has managed West Ham, Bournemouth, Southhampton and Spurs, tucked into his parmo from Manjarops before a show at Middlesbrough Town Hall.
He confessed he had never even heard of the Teesside delicacy before. But after savouring the chicken, cheese and béchamel combination, he said: "That’s a strange taste, but it’s nice."
Harry's wife Sandra had called him before the show to make sure he had eaten. He took the time to explain to her what he had just eaten, telling her all about the parmo dish.
Promoted by Elite Sporting Agencies and hosted by Ex-Middlesbrough Football Club player Craig Hignett, over 600 fans attended the event at the town hall.
They heard his footballing stories as well as about his time in the jungle on I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!

Fans got the chance to chat to Harry and get a picture as well as an autograph.
After the show visited Manjaros in Ingleby Barwick, where he posed for a picture with staff.
