A person has been taken to hospital following a crash between two cars in County Durham today (Wednesday, February 21)
Emergency services were alerted to the collision on the A688 at Bardord Corner, between Barnard Castle and Staindrop at about 1.30pm.
Durham Police and the North East Ambulance Service attended the scene, where one patient was treated before being taken to hospital.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A688 Barford Corner shortly before 1.30pm today (21 February).

"We dispatched one ambulance crew, who transported one patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital."
