A North East council is seeking to recruit a member of the public for a partnership role which helps deliver "positive change" in their town.
Durham County Council is recruiting a public representative to be a part of the Chester-le-Street and District Area Action Partnership (AAP) board from May.
The representative will be one of 14 across County Durham and is tasked with bringing together communities and organisations to support projects which can make a difference.
The voluntary role involves six meetings a year, and reps are also encouraged to contribute to task groups on issues including community support, cost of living and regeneration.

Cllr Elizabeth Scott, Durham County Council’s Cabinet Member for economy and partnerships, said: “Our AAPs operate at the heart of our communities and tackle the issues that matter most to the people who live, work, study and volunteer there.
“The public representative role is all about sharing your valuable local knowledge, being passionate about your community and working in partnership to help make a difference in the wider area.
“It’s an incredibly rewarding and worthwhile thing to do and I would encourage anyone who is interested to apply.”
Durham County Council added: "To find out more about the role, or to request an application pack, please contact 03000 261135 or chester-le-streetaap@durham.gov.uk."
