A County Durham pub has made a plea to find new owners, as it remains closed to regulars until it finds a new landlord or landlady.
The Station, which is located in Langley Moor, is a small but quaint end-terrace pub, in a great location with a main road to the front.
After closing down when its last operators left, the pub is now looking for people to run it - with the owners of the venue now keen to get someone in to make it their own.
Appearing on the Admiral Taverns site, the listing says: "Surrounding the pub, there are large residential housing areas. Being on the main street, there are lots of other local amenities nearby meaning there is always a buzz of people on the street, all of which are awaiting a great pub with a good reason to pop in and rest their feet.
The main features of the pub, which will need an initial investment of £5000:
- Initial start-up rent is £50 per week for three months (negotiable)
- Utility contribution £300 per month for three months
- Free of tie on wines, spirits & minerals
- Recently invested internally to a high standard
- Zero Business Rates*
- Fantastic high street location
- Established community local
The pub is simple in design; it has two rooms and two bars. One is used as the main lounge/bar area and the other as a traditional taproom. There is a pool/darts area and access to the toilets direct from the main bar.
"The general condition/décor internally is good, but it could benefit from a fresh internal lick of paint. Externally the pub is well presented but needs to benefit from some professional chalkboards and hanging baskets to soften the look and improve kerb appeal.
The listing added: "All in all, this is a great little pub in a great location with a strong, unique selling point and should easily be the hub of the community and a must-stop site for the many shoppers/passers-by.
"The private accommodation consists of a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, office, and three large bedrooms and is in immaculate condition."

Samantha Banks, business development manager at Admiral Taverns, said: “We have a fantastic opportunity available at the Station in Langley Moor for a local and passionate licensee or team to take over the pub and breathe a new lease of life into it.

"The pub has recently been refurbished internally to a high standard.
"The incoming licensee should have ambitious plans to host a strong calendar of events, attracting a wide range of customers to the pub. There is also a chance to introduce a simple sandwich-type lunch menu.
"Alongside a strong support system from Admiral Taverns, we will also be offering a superb financial package, which includes a starting rent of £50 per week and contribution towards the cost of utilities. Anyone interested should please get in touch on 01244 321171.”
