A man has died two weeks after suffering serious injuries in an electric bicycle crash.
Police confirmed on Tuesday (February 20) that the 60-year-old man had died after an incident, which happened on Belasis Avenue in Billingham on Sunday, February 4.
During the incident, the man suffered serious injuries when riding an electric pedal cycle.
The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital but died on Monday, February 19, police confirmed.
Police do not believe there was any involvement with any other vehicles.
An investigation has been launched by Cleveland Police, with the police force issuing an appeal for witnesses and a tribute to his family.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Our thoughts remain with the man’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
"Officers previously appealed for anyone with CCTV or dash cam of the cyclist riding from the industrial estate onto Belasis Avenue around 6pm on Sunday 4th February to get in touch.
"Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or anyone who may have relevant footage is again asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting ref number 020878."
