A new mini golf, cocktail bar and arcade project has fallen through after failing to find a new investor.
The owners of Wacky Social: Golf, Arcade, Bar in Darlington announced today (February 20) they will not be going ahead with their complex.
They said the venue has been forced to close after losing their investor over the Christmas period.
The business added it was “disappointed” to not be able to open the business.
A spokesperson for Wacky Social said: “Big disappointing news.
“We are gutted to have to say our Darlington crazy golf complex will not be going ahead, we sadly lost our investor over Christmas and have been working hard to sort funding it but hasn't been possible.
“If anybody would like to take the project on, get in touch.

“We are disappointed we won't be able to launch this project ourselves.”
The venue had previously promised to be "the wackiest course in the North East," with the planned venue pledging cocktails and a potential SEGA arcade.
It has previously been slated to open early this year.
