Tributes have been paid to two men, one of whom was from the North East, who died during a three-vehicle horror crash in Scotland at the weekend.
32-year-old Asad Saghir from Stockton and 23-year-old Cameron Pearson from Aboyne died in the horror crash in northern Scotland over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to South Deeside Road near the village of Maryculter in Aberdeenshire on Saturday (February 17) following reports of the crash.
Three cars were involved, including a black Volkswagen Golf, a grey Skoda Kamiq and a grey Audi Q5.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the two men died at the scene.
Mr Pearson’s family have now paid tribute to their son in a heartfelt statement.
They said: “Our beloved son, Cameron Pearson, sadly passed away on Saturday following a car accident.”
Mr Saghir's family have not provided a statement.
Road Policing Sergeant Pete Henderson said: “Our thoughts remain with the families and friends of Mr Pearson and Mr Saghir at this time.
“They have asked that their privacy be respected at this time and we will continue to support them as our enquiries progress.”
Enquiries into the crash continue.
