One person has been hospitalised following a late-night crash between two vehicles at a junction which saw one person extracted from a car.
Emergency services rushed to Junction Road in Stockton just after 11:30pm last night following reports of a crash.
Fire and ambulance crews as well as police officers were all present at the incident and cordoned off the road whilst they attended the scene.
Pictures show a roof and doors of a car had been cut off to free a person inside.
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) have since confirmed that one person has been hospitalised.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision last night (19 February) on Junction Road in Stockton shortly before 10:15pm.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and one patient was taken to James Cook hospital."
Cleveland Fire Brigade added: "Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 19/02/2024 at 22.31 to a road traffic collision (RTC) on Junction Road in Stockton.
"Two fire engines were in attendance from Stockton. RTC involving two vehicles. Crews extricated one casualty and made the scene safe. Passed over to NEAS. We left the scene at 23.31."
Cleveland Police have been contacted for comment.
