Two people have been hospitalised following an alleged assault just before midnight last night.
Emergency services were present in Yarm, on what is understood to have been Yarm High Street last night (Saturday, February 17) following an incident.
The ambulance service has confirmed the incident was an alleged assault, and two people were taken to hospital.
One person was treated for head injuries.
A spokesman for North East Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 11.53pm yesterday (17 FEB) to reports of an alleged assault in the Yarm area.
"We dispatched two paramedic crews and treated two patients, one with a head injury. Both were taken to hospital."
Cleveland Police have been contacted for more information.
