A Bishop Auckland resident has been slapped with a fine of over £700 after dumping waste in their garden.
Peterlee Magistrates heard a case relating to the backyard of a property on Woodlands Road, Bishop Auckland.

The resident "failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in respect of an accumulation of waste", and has been ordered to pay £726.00.
The Neighbourhood wardens said: "The individual failed to engage with the neighbourhood wardens after several attempts to contact.
"To report any issues of waste in yards and gardens please call 03000 260000 or use the on line reporting system www.durham.gov.uk/doitonline."
