A man who has been arrested in Stockton was found to have £50,000 in cash in his car.
Along with the significant amount of cash there was suspected class A drugs and a baseball bat.
Cleveland police officers stopped a Nissan Qashqai on the A19 in Stockton at 12.35am on February 13.
The 40-year-old man form London was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
A Cleveland Police Officer said: "A man was arrested after the stop of a vehicle led to the recovery of a significant amount of cash, suspected class A drugs and a weapon.

"Matrix Team officers stopped a Nissan Qashqai on the A19 in Stockton around 12:35am yesterday morning, Tuesday 13th February.
"A significant amount of cash, believed to be around £50,000, was seized from the vehicle and a small amount of suspected cocaine was recovered. A baseball bat was also seized from the car.
"A 40-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has since been bailed whilst enquiries continue."
