A North Yorkshire man has been remanded in custody after being found with illegal ammunition and explosives earlier this year.
Stewart Wright, 44, of Mill Bungalow, Mill Farm, Leeming, stands accused of possessing rifle rounds without a certification and possessing four grenades - both offences committed on January 31 this year.
Wright, now held in custody due to the serious nature of the charges, awaits his plea hearing on February 16 at 10am at York Magistrates Court.
On Monday (February 12), Wright appeared at York Magistrates' Court, where the case was adjourned to obtain the Attorney General’s consent.
Wright was arrested at his home, The Beehive, Mill Farm, with both offences contrary to the Firearms Act 1968 and the Explosive Substances Act 1883.
