A woman has died following a collision on a North East road this weekend.
Kayleigh Daggett, 38, from Stockton has died in hospital following the incident which took place on Prince Regent Street, the A1305, between Bishopton Lane and Dovecot Street near to KFC. shortly after 1am on Sunday (February 11).
Her family have paid a touching tribute to the “wonderful” and “lovely” mother, daughter and sister.
They said: “We are absolutely devastated to have lost our wonderful Kayleigh. She was a lovely daughter and sister to three brothers and a fabulous mother.
Kayleigh had so much to look forward to in life and we can’t put into words how much we will miss her”.
Officers investigating this tragic incident continue to appeal for witnesses and information.
A man, 40, has been arrested in connection with the incident, and has been released on bail pending further investigation.

At the time, a Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "A road is closed in Stockton following a collision involving a single vehicle, believed to be a taxi, and a pedestrian.
"The incident happened shortly after 1am on Sunday 11 February 2024 on Prince Regent Street, the A1305, between Bishopton Lane and Dovecot Street near to KFC."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 and pass information to the force control room, quoting reference number 025075.
