An appeal has been made to the owner of a terrier that was found by wardens on a North East street.
The female terrier was sadly with no microchip so Durham County Council Neighbourhood Wardens are finding it difficult to locate the owner.
As a result, the neighbourhood wardens have transported her to Stray Aid at Coxhoe.
A warning has since been given to owners to ensure that their pets are microchipped so owners can be found more easily.

A spokesperson for Durham County Council Neighbourhood Wardens South, said: “Ensuring your pet is microchipped and the right information is recorded against it helps us to return any dogs found straying without the need to take them to kennels.
“By law all dogs should be microchipped.
