A pedestrian has been left seriously injured after a suspected hit-and-run incident in North Yorkshire on Tuesday (February 6).
Officers from North Yorkshire Police have appealed for information in connection with the incident, which happened at about 6.10pm at the junction of Horseshoe Close and Catterick Road (A6136), near Colburn.
During the incident, police say a dark-coloured vehicle struck a pedestrian, causing the victim serious injuries.

The vehicle left the scene of the accident, leaving the pedestrian injured in the road.
Following the crash, North Yorkshire Police have appealed for information and dashcam footage.
