An appeal has been launched after a car was set alight last night causing damage to a nearby house.
Cleveland Police are appealing for more information after a car was set on fire on Shakespeare Avenue in Hartlepool on Saturday (February 3).
The fire subsequently spread to a nearby housing, damaging the property and affecting the gas supply.
They confirmed the incident took place between 3:30am and 4am.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for CCTV or Dashcam footage after a car was set alight on Shakespeare Avenue in Hartlepool between 3:30am and 4am on Saturday 3 February.
“The fire then spread to the house, causing damage and affecting the gas supply to the property.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland Police on 101 quoting reference SE24019845.”
