A new North East pub is set to re-open within days after a large investment.
The Starting Gate in Redcar is to open back up to the public on Wednesday, February 7.
It will be holding a grand launch party with live music from local band The Fallen later in the month.
The pub has seen a six-figure investment from Craft Union Pub Company with new seating, a complete décor refresh and a new back bar.
There are also a upgraded darts and pool facilities alongside seven new HD TV's for watching the latest sport.
Phil Barkley, operator at the Starting Gate, is encouraging locals to get involved with the sports teams.
There is an existing pool team and they are now building a darts team.
Phil Barkley, Operator at the Starting Gate said: "The new-look pub is completely transformed throughout, and we can’t wait to welcome locals back to the space. My wife Celsie and I are thrilled to bring the vibrant atmosphere of a fantastic Craft Union community pub to Redcar.
"I am a devoted Middlesbrough supporter with a love for all sports, and Celsie can’t wait to host you all in the renowned Starting Gate bingo nights, we both warmly invite you to join us for a memorable experience."
There are also going to be some new drinks available such as Peroni, Cruzcampo and Amstel.
Phil and Celsie will be supporting the local charity Zoey's Place via donations from the pub.

The charity is a hospice which specialises in supporting early-years children who have a life-limiting or life-threatening complex illness or profound disability.
The Middlesbrough based charity is close to the hearts of many in the community and the couple hope to help raise donations for the vital charity.
