Today we name four men made subject of domestic violence protection orders in Darlington and County Durham.

Some of the men have appeared in court for breaching existing orders. 

The cases have been heard in the last week at Peterlee Magistrates' Court and Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court. 

Mohammed Rahman, 19 of Bowman Street, Darlington, appeared in court for breaching domestic violence protection order on Februay 3 in Darlington

He admitted the breach by attending an address he was forbidden from and was fined £50.

Dean Bartley, 32, of Lime Street Sunderland admittted breaching a domestic violence protection  order by entering a premises in Sunnybrow, Crook, he was forbidden from going to. He admitted the breach and was fined £50.

James Holden, 37 of Davison Terrace, Sacriston, admitted breaching a domestic violence protection order by having contact with a woman he was not permitted to do on February 2.

He admitted the breach and was jailed for 36 days. Magistrates said the the offence was so serious because the "defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders and  because threats of violence, and damage caused to property, of the person who the order is to protect".

Mark Gibbs, 39, of no fixed abode, was made subject of a domestic violence protection order for 28 days when he appeared before magistrates on Friday, February 2.

The order is for the protection of a woman named in court. He must not molest her or contact her by any means, including social media. He is also forbidden from entering a specified address in Darlington and any connecting alley way or street.
