Police investigating the reported theft of radiators and pipework from the rear of a house have released an image of a man they would like to trace in connection with the incident.
A report was received of an intruder having climbed over a locked back gate to an address in South Shields, at 7.30am on Wednesday, December 6.
Once in the backyard of the address, in Ashley Road, the offender opened the gate from the inside and let in an accomplice.
Both men were then reported to have stolen radiators and pipework valued at £1,000 from the rear yard before leaving the scene.
Inquiries into the incident are said to be ongoing and police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

He was in the area at the time the theft is reported to have taken place on Wednesday morning.
Northumbria Police officers believe he may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man caught on camera, or anyone who knows him, should use the ‘Report’ page on the Northumbria Police website, or ring 101, quoting crime reference number 156390J/23.
