One person was taken to hospital after an incident last night that saw emergency services swarm Norton High Street.
The ambulance service confirmed that they took one person to Darlington Memorial Hospital after being alerted to an incident on Norton High Street at 8.40 pm last night (Saturday, February 3).

The incident was dubbed an "altercation" by witnesses at the scene.
A police cordon was erected on Norton High Street, near to boots, with numerous police cars on the scene.

A spokesperson from the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) has confirmed they attended the incident in Norton last night.
They said: "We were called to an incident on Norton High Street at 8.40 last night. We dispatched a double-crewed ambulance and transported one patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital."
Cleveland Police have also been contacted, but are yet to confirm the nature of the incident.
