Excitement about the opening of a big-name brand at a North East shopping centre has intensified after signage and posters were spotted at the site this week.
In January 2024, Teesside Park confirmed Nike Unite will be making its way to the venue in 2024 - which will see the Teesside location become a 'unique' hub for a new Nike venture.
Throughout the start of 2024, work has been started on the former New Look unit at Teesside Park, with new orange panelling and signage put up at the store recently.
Bright posters have also been spotted around Teesside, which say that the store could open 'in weeks' - with the advertising campaign saying 'coming February'.
The address of the shop has been reported as Unit 12A at the retail park – the site of the old New Look store.
Nike Unite is a newer concept rolled out by the chain, which aims to better represent the community its branch is located in.
It's expected that the new store will provide new "in and out of store experiences for customers" and will focus on connecting the community more closely to sport.
Rumours began about the Nike store after the major brand listed 'Nike Stockton' on its store location list, which started suggestions about where the store will go.
However, Teesside Park released a statement last month, confirming the Nike store.
At the time, Catherine Furlong, centre director at Teesside Park, said the retailer’s move to the site will create more jobs for the local area.
She said: “We’ve been promising the reveal of even more exciting new brands coming to Teesside Park and I’m so pleased to be able to confirm Nike Unite as one of those.
“Not only will the Nike Unite store bring great sportswear ranges and new experiences for our visitors, but it will also provide job opportunities for the local area. I’m sure this one is going to be hugely popular!”

Nike is not the only big-name retailer to make their way to the shopping park - with Lush and B&M opening their doors last year.
Clothing giant Primark is also set to open at the retail park with the latest planning application for Unit 11 being submitted to Stockton Borough Council on Christmas Day.
Meanwhile, Wagamama opened its branch at the park on December 4 last year - bringing 70 new jobs to the area.
