An investigation has been launched after a pedestrian is believed to have been knocked down by a car that failed to stop.
Officers from Cleveland Police are appealing for information following a collision in the Bob Hardisty Drive area of Bishop Auckland.
A police spokesperson said: "The collision happened at around 7pm on Tuesday, January 30, near to the pedestrian crossing outside of Morrisons Car Park.

"A pedestrian is believed to have been struck by a small, dark-coloured car, which then failed to stop at the scene. The car may have been a Ford Fiesta.
"The pedestrian received minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Anybody with any information relating to the collision or the vehicle, including any dashcam footage, is asked to contact PC Nick Prest via nicholas.prest@durham.police.uk, quoting incident number 358 of January 30."
