A man has been charged with a string of crimes after armed police carried out searches over the weekend.
Officers with guns and dogs descended on Tithe Barn Road in Stockton on Saturday (January 20) lunchtime.
The road was closed while properties were searched.
Police confirmed they were searching for a man who was apprehended a short time later.
The 32-year-old has now been charged with a string of crimes including two of assault, threatening a person with a blade, criminal damage and malicious communications.
He will remain in custody pending a court appearance.

Cleveland Police said: “Officers were called to an incident on Tithe Barn Road, Stockton, at around 11.30am on Saturday 20th January.
“A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, assault by beating, criminal damage, threatening a person with a bladed article and malicious communications.
“He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.”
