Police descended on a street in Darlington this morning after reports of an overnight burglary that saw cannabis plants stolen.
An area of Craig Street, near its junction with Hollyhurst Road in Darlington, was taped off this morning (January 24).
Police officers and crime scene investigators remained on Craig Street for whole of the morning.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "Police are investigating reports of a burglary which happened at a house on Craig Street, in Darlington, at around 7.40 pm last night (January 23).

"The suspects are believed to have stolen cannabis plants from inside the house.
"Two men were arrested later that evening by our colleagues at North Yorkshire Police in connection with the incident. They remain in police custody.
"Further cannabis plants that were found at the property have since been destroyed by police."
