Police have appeal for any sightings of a man missing since late last night (Saturday January 20).
Officers searching for a missing Newcastle man have appealed to the public for their help as to his whereabouts.
Roy Johnson, 48, was last seen in the Harton Lane area of South Shields at about 10.55pm on Saturday (January 20).
He has not been heard from since and police have grown increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Searches are said to be on-going in a bid to trace him, and the Northumbria force is asking anybody who thinks they may have seen Mr Johnson too get in touch with police.
He is described as white, about 5ft 10ins, of medium build, with short grey hair.
Mr Johnson was last known to be wearing a grey t-shirt and hoodie, denim jeans, black trainers and a black coat.

He is understood to have links to the Kenton area of Newcastle.
Mr Johnson, or anyone who has seen him, is asked to contact Northumbria Police immediately by calling 101.
