Moving tributes in memory of a toddler whose death is the subject of a murder inquiry have been left at his home.
The one-year-old, who was named locally as Charlie Roberts, died on Saturday following an incident in Darlington.
Emergency services were called to Frosterley Drive at 9am on Friday and the youngster was rushed to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
The boy’s death has left the community he was part of deeply shocked and upset.
Neighbours have described feeling 'sick' and are unable to sleep.
People have left heartfelt notes and flowers as well as cuddly toys such as teddy bears and a rabbit in his memory.
Photographs of Charlie from a Facebook account that has since been deleted show him as a happy smiling young boy.
