Two children have been left seriously injured after a crash which closed a stretch of the A689.
Emergency services were called to the A-road near Hartlepool on Friday (January 12) evening to reports of a crash involving a black Audi Q7.
Two children were left with serious injuries while another child suffered minor injuries. All three were taken to hospital.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail in connection with the incident.
Officers are continuing to investigate the crash and are now appealing for information or dashcam footage.
A force spokesperson said: “Cleveland Police is appealing for information following a single-vehicle collision in Hartlepool.

“The incident occurred at around 7.35pm on Friday 12th January on the A689 towards Hartlepool from Greatham and involved a black Audi Q7.
“Officers are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area of the A689 around the time of the incident and may have witnessed or captured the incident on dashcam to call 101, quoting 006990.”
