An appeal has been launched to find the owner of a dog which was found in a rough condition.
Stockton Borough Council (SBC) are looking for the owner of a spaniel that was found in Hardwick, Stockton on Saturday (January 6).
The canine was brought to an out-of-hours stray dog reception point.
She has been checked by a vet and is suffering from issues stemming from neglect.
A council spokesperson said: “The Council is looking for the owner of a severely emaciated dog which was found in Hardwick, Stockton.
“The spaniel was brought to the out of hours stray dog reception point on January, 6.

“She has been checked over by a vet and is suffering from some issues which have been caused by neglect.
“It is possible she has been straying and outside for a long time, or possibly trapped somewhere.”
