A young child was taken to hospital with a broken leg after being knocked over by a car near North East primary school
Police were called to the collision outside St Gabriel's Catholic Primary School, in Allendale Road Ormesby, Middlesbrough, yesterday (Tuesday, January 9) morning.
Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in Middlesbrough.
"The incident occurred on Allendale Road, Ormesby, outside St Gabriel's Catholic Primary School at around 8.35am on Tuesday January.

"It involved a black Vauxhall Astra and a young child who was taken to James Cook University Hospital with a broken leg.
"Enquires are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information or any relevant dash cam to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 004879."
