Five teenagers have been arrested after a car was stolen from outside a home on Teesside late on Monday evening.
Police received a report of a burglary of a Vauxhall car on Wilton Green in Middlesbrough at around 6:30pm on Monday (January 8).
The alleged stolen Vauxhall was then spotted on CCTV on Eston High Street where police then followed the vehicle.
The vehicle came to a stop when it collided with a bollard on Wilton Way near the A174 and five males aged 14, 15, 16, 16 and 18, made off from the scene.
Following assistance from the National Police Air Service, the drone and dogs unit, four males were arrested and the fifth was apprehended later that night.
The five were arrested on suspicion of drug driving, burglary and several traffic offences and currently remain in police custody.
