The family of a man who died following a collision on a North East road have paid tribute to their “loving” family member.
Robert Herring, 38, known as Robbie, died after a collision on the A689 in Hartlepool around 9:05pm on Friday (January 4).
Mr Herring’s family paid tribute to their “loving son, brother and father of two children.”
The family also thanked the emergency services who attended for their help.
They said: “We would like to thank all of the emergency services who attended and the members of the public who were at the scene.”

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts remain with Robert’s family at this extremely difficult time.
“Officers continue to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area of the A689 at “Newton Bewley around 9:05pm on Friday 5th January and may have witnessed the collision or may have dash cam footage which could assist the ongoing police investigation.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting event number 002914.”
