A former Premier League star has been banned from driving after speeding through a town centre in his Mercedes.
Brenden Aaronson, who played for Leeds United last season after signing for the Yorkshire side for £24.7m from Red Bull Salzburg, was caught doing speeds of 37mph in a 30mph zone on March 12 last year.
The 23-year-old, who no longer plays for Leeds, was ordered not to drive a vehicle for six months and fined more than £1,000 after racking up 13 points on his licence.

The speeding incident happened on the A6040 Knaresborough Road, in Harrogate.
Aaronson entered a guilty plea to a further speeding offence at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (January 3) but did not attend in person.
The £1000 cost for Aaronson comprises a £666 fine, £266 surcharge and £90 in court costs.
The 23-year-old, who is a US national, was sent out on loan to Union Berlin in July last year after his side was relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2023 season.
