A man who left his blood at the scene of a burglary at a working men's club in County Durham has been jailed.
Joshua Winter, of Ludworth, broke in through the roof of the club in Sherburn on October 8.
The 21-year-old then attempted to steal cash from the till before smashing a window to escape.

As he fled the scene, he left his blood after cutting his arm on the broken window glass and was arrested by officers on suspicion of burglary.
Winter was later released on bail but further arrested for other offences on December 20.
He appeared at Durham Crown Court on December 22, where he pleaded guilty to burglary and breaching his bail conditions, and was sentenced to ten months in prison.
