A Rolex watch, a Pandora bracelet and a Gucci jacket were among the items which were stolen from housing estates in multiple burglaries in the early hours of Christmas Eve.

Police are investigating numerous burglaries and attempted burglaries which took place on the Ings Estate and the Wheatlands Park Estate in Redcar between 1-3am on Sunday (December 24).

Officers received reports of two burglaries in Wheatlands Park – the first where Rolex watches, a Pandora bracelet, a navy blue Gucci jacket with a red lining and perfumes and aftershaves were stolen.

In the second burglary, a number of power tools and two electric bikes were stolen.

Detectives believe the incident may involve three male suspects and are asking residents nearby to check any CCTV they operate.

Officers also received reports of attempted burglaries on the Ings Estate where front door handles were reported to have been tried to gain access to properties on Hundale Crescent, Trocross Way, Seaford Close and Alnmouth Drive.
