Today we name nine people who were fined after failing to comply with community protection notices requiring them to remove waste from their gardens and yards.
Their cases were heard at Peterlee Magistrates' Court and were brought under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Magistrates were told they failed to follow the notices issued by Durham County Council.
Here are the cases heard:
Daniel Wood of Williamson Square, Wingate, fail to comply with a community protection notice on or before May 25 in respect of waste in the yard of the same address The case was found proved and a fine of £220 imposed, along with a surcharge of £88 and costs of £330 - a total of £638.
Peter Jones of Startforth Park, Startforth, Barnard Castle, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before April 13 with respect to the same address. The case was found proved and a fine of £110 was imposed, along with a surcharge of £44 and costs of £165 - a total of £319.
Samantha Urwin of West End Villas, Crook, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before March 16 in respect of waste in the yard of the same address. The case was found proved and a fine of £220 imposed, along with a surcharge of £88 and costs of £418 - a total of £726..
Lisa Lyons of Williamson Square, Wingate, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before May 25 in respect of waste in the yard of the same property. The case was found proved and a fine of £220 imposed, along with a surcharge of £88 and costs of £330 - a total of £638.
Francis Michael Donnelly of Pine Street, Chester-le-Street, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before July 14 in respect of accumulations of waste in the yard of the same address. The case was found proved and a fine of £220 was imposed, along with a surcharge £88 and costs of £418 - a total of £726.0
Susanna Churlish of Rodwell Street, Trimdon Colliery, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before July 10 in respect of accumulations of waste in the yard of the same address. The case was found proved and a fine of £220 imposed, along with a surcharge of £88 and costs of £732 - a total of £1,040.
Kelly Ann Barnes of Meldon Avenue, Sherburn, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before March 27 in respect of waste in the yard of the same address.The case was found proved and a fine of £220 imposed, along with a surcharge of £88 and costs of £689 - a total of £997.

Benjamin Macloughlin of Prince Consort Road, Gateshead, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before May 18, in respect of accumulations of waste in a yard in Hylton Terrace, Pelton, Chester-le-Street. The case was found proved and a fine of £220 imposed, along with a surcharge of £88 and costs of £418 - a total of £726.
Caroline Spooner of Windermere Road, South Hetton, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before May 19 in respect of accumulations of waste in the yard of the same address. The case was found proved and a fine of £220 imposed, along with a surcharge of £88 and costs of £318 - a total of £626.
