One person has been taken to hospital following a crash on a busy A road this evening (December 22).
Motorists on the A19 southbound west of Thimbleby, North Yorkshire, faced long delays shortly after 7pm this evening after a crash.
Emergency services responded to the scene where one lane was initially closed off and a person was taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for the North Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We responded to a multiple-vehicle road traffic collision on the A19 near Thimbleby.
"One patient was conveyed to The James Cook Hospital."
